Course in Management, Finance and Logistics for the Bloomberg Global Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use

Tobacco control is an important issue for improving public health, the environment, and personal and national economics.  In order to facilitate the work of NGOs in this area, it is important to contribute to their capacity to carry out the work effectively.

Recently a new initiative, the Bloomberg Initiative, has been announced.  This is a major funding effort for tobacco control internationally, with Bangladesh selected as one of several target countries.  The funders for Bloomberg are requiring some potential recipients of funds to first undergo training to understand the principles of the Bloomberg grants and to improve their ability to carry out effective tobacco control work under the initiative.

Contribute to the capacity building of selected NGOs to increase their ability to work effectively in tobacco control and to access and successfully make use of the funding available.
